We’ve Launched the Harmonist Manifesto

Harmon has already travelled twice around the Sun. And though that may sound like a lot, to us it still feels like the beginning. That’s why we want to share with you a reflection on principles.

We’re proud of many things—and we’ve learned many more. When asked what we’ve done best, the answer is clear: bringing together more than seventy brilliant minds in this adventure.

We were born to define the boundaries of the non-market, to change the way consultancy is done, and above all, to help improve society through corporate advisory.

More than an adventure, it was an entelechy—an idea brought to life. So, when we charted the company’s course, we knew we needed something more: a way to do it. We created a manifesto.

To build, compile, and affirm the behaviours that give shape to our principles. A guide for how to look into the abyss of doing things.

We are as obsessed with our culture as with our service—because culture is part of the service. How we do things defines who we are.

1. We sell impact, not hours.

2. We challenge by default.

3. We believe in creating.

4. We tell each other the truth, whether we like it or not.

5. We are free to work where, when, and how we choose.

6. We are our own bosses. Let’s not disappoint ourselves.

7. We never take talent for granted.

8. This is an ego-free space.

9. Not everyone fits in at Harmon.

10. The company’s principles come before—and will always come before—the business.

Two years in. We don’t think about endings, because we’re still at the beginning. And in this case, if you don’t like our principles, we’re sorry to say—we have no others.
