Harmon Appoints Francisco Calderón as Partner for Corporate Affairs

Harmon, Spain’s first consultancy specialising in non-market strategies, has announced the appointment of Francisco Calderón as the firm’s new Partner for Corporate Affairs. Calderón joins from Iberdrola, where he was responsible for relations with national media, and brings over 15 years of international consultancy experience leading cross-functional teams.

At Harmon, Francisco will coordinate the development of integrated strategies for the company’s clients, maximising synergies between the communication and public affairs teams. Traditionally separate disciplines such as corporate communication, institutional relations, branding, and sustainability now converge within the corporate affairs function—enhancing legitimacy and influence through a shared purpose.

“Society demands corporations that are responsible and committed to value creation, that embrace their role as engines of change. At Harmon, we want to help build that future, and that’s why we continue to accelerate the addition of top talent. Francisco’s arrival strengthens our capabilities in key areas such as corporate communication, risk prevention, and crisis management,” said Jaime Olmos, Founding Partner of the consultancy.

“When you join a consultancy that views reputation management as the art of making people love you more and better; that has brought together a bold, unapologetic team; and that understands the only way to work is by challenging the status quo every day—you know you’ll be able to help your clients create real impact,” said Calderón.

Before his most recent role at Iberdrola, Francisco was Partner for Corporate Communication and Public Advocacy at Kreab, the Swedish-origin consultancy, where he led restructuring and transformation projects for the banking sector, transparency plans for the pharmaceutical industry, and media positioning and public agenda programmes for the energy, digital, luxury, and food industries. Earlier in his career, at the American firm Burson-Marsteller (now BCW), he managed perception-shift campaigns for leading consumer brands.

With this appointment, Harmon strengthens its leadership team, now comprising Jaime Olmos (Founder), Eduardo Madina (Strategy Partner), Manuel de la Fuente (Public Affairs Partner), and Borja Bergareche (Partner for Communication, Innovation, and Corporate Leadership). In less than ten months, the consultancy has built a team of more than 25 professionals and serves over 40 clients.
