02.2026Harmon Portugal appoints Pedro Costa as new Senior Advisor
Costa, a corporate affairs specialist and CNN Portugal contributor, was until now the top executive at GCI Media Group.
Lisbon, 11 February 2026. Harmon, the leading consultancy specialised in non-market strategies in Spain and Portugal, strengthens its Lisbon team with the appointment of Pedro Costa as its new Senior Advisor.
Pedro is a well-known corporate affairs specialist with experience across politics, business and the media, and is a regular contributor to CNN Portugal. His arrival to the team led by Bárbara Loureiro reinforces Harmon’s ambition to consolidate its position in Portugal as a benchmark in corporate affairs and strategic communication.
As Senior Advisor, Pedro Costa will play a strategic role in supporting Harmon’s growth and positioning in the Portuguese market, helping to boost the institutional reputation and public voice of the firm’s clients in the country.
A Law graduate from the University of Lisbon and holder of a postgraduate qualification in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies from ISCTE, Pedro Costa began his career in the organisation and management of sports events, working at João Lagos Sports and Unisports, where he held roles in product management and business development. Between 2017 and 2024, he held municipal political positions at the Junta de Freguesia of Campo de Ourique, first as a board member and later as President. Over the past two years, he served as Managing Director of GCI Media Group, one of Portugal’s most relevant communications agency groups — a role he combined with his work as an analyst on the influential programme Verdade e Consequência, on CNN Portugal.
“We are very pleased to continue growing in Portugal with Pedro joining our team of professionals. Having a specialist like him, who has built his career across different sectors, who understands the consulting market, and who brings extensive experience in the media and in the Portuguese political ecosystem, is a major added value that will help us implement our vision for our clients,” says Jaime Olmos, CEO of Harmon.
“I am excited to join a project like Harmon, which understands the value of the non-market so well. Portugal is a market with its own dynamics and a strong interconnection between the political, economic and media spheres. Being able to bring that knowledge of the local context to Harmon is a differentiating asset that I want to put at the service of the clients who already trust Harmon, and of those who will do so in the future,” explains Pedro Costa.
With just over a year operating under its own structure in Portugal, and more than three years of activity in the country overall, Harmon currently has a team of five professionals and a portfolio of more than 15 clients across different sectors. The team in Portugal works in collaboration with Harmon’s various specialist areas in Spain, within a strategic approach built around an Iberian vision.
