Madrid, 23 October 2025.<\/strong> Harmon presents the third edition of hARTmon<\/em>, a project that explores, under the title \u201cInterlocutor, ra\u201d<\/em>, the relationship between critical analysis of reality and contemporary artistic practice. In a context where the boundaries between disciplines and generations are becoming increasingly blurred, hARTmon<\/em><\/a> champions permeability\u2014understood not as fragility, but as progress.<\/strong> It consolidates itself as a platform for thought, action, and collective conversation. Here, art is positioned as an active interlocutor: a mediator between people, actions, concepts, and forms of activism.<\/p>\n

As in previous editions<\/a>, this new instalment takes as its starting point Harmon\u2019s manifesto. Several of the firm\u2019s consultants, together with Javier Aparicio\u2014director of El Chico gallery and curator of the exhibition\u2014initiated a process of critical dialogue around several of the manifesto\u2019s statements: \u201cWe don\u2019t just keep the seat warm\u201d, \u201cWe challenge everything and everyone\u201d, \u201cWe say what we think; we admit our mistakes\u201d, \u201cSuccesses and failures belong to the group.\u201d<\/strong> Thus, hARTmon III<\/em> is conceived not merely as an exhibition but as a genuine space for interlocution\u2014a collective exercise in thinking, imagining, and acting upon reality. It stands as a vindication of contemporary creation as a voice that listens, responds, and connects; an interlocutor that bridges sensibilities, questions certainties, and proposes new ways of coexisting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIn this new edition, the project strengthens its curatorial vision, bringing together mid-career and established artists alongside emerging voices to form a plural and robust panorama,\u201d explains Aparicio.<\/p>\n

The selection underscores Harmon\u2019s commitment to supporting artistic research processes<\/strong> that, from both aesthetic and community perspectives, encourage reflection on the present and the activation of shared responsibility towards reality.<\/p>\n

Participating artists in this edition include B\u00e1rbara Fonte (La Oficina)<\/strong>, Leonor Serrano Rivas<\/strong>, Laure Prouvost<\/strong> and Pakui Hardware (Carlier Gebauer)<\/strong>, Tom of Finland<\/strong> and Diana Larrea (Espacio M\u00ednimo)<\/strong>, Daniel Boccato<\/strong> and Ventura Profana (Formatocomodo)<\/strong>, Suzanne Treister<\/strong>, Sahatsa Jauregi<\/strong> and L\u00faa Coderch (The Ryder)<\/strong>, Rub\u00e9n Ojeda Guzm\u00e1n (Pradiauto)<\/strong>, and Maya Pita-Romero<\/strong> and Estefan\u00eda B. Flores (El Chico)<\/strong>. They are joined by artists Esther Merinero<\/strong> and Blanca Guerrero<\/strong>, reinforcing the idea of a collective project that crosses generations, languages, and approaches.<\/p>\n

About <\/strong>Javier Aparicio<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/u>Javi<\/strong> (b. 1985, Mexico City) lives and works in Madrid. Trained in dramatic arts, he has developed his career in contemporary art as well as theatrical and film production. In Madrid, he was part of the Traves\u00eda Cuatro gallery, where he served as director and opened its Mexican branch in Guadalajara in 2013. He has worked on art, theatre, and film projects in Buenos Aires and was director of Art Projects Ibiza. He also worked as a consultant for KCM Fine Arts, a New York\u2013based firm focusing on mid-career and emerging artists on the international scene.
